Good for beginners I purchased these when I began an adult roller derby academy about three months ago, knowing nothing about padding or the fact that more substantial pads were available and might be more appropriate. I have already retired the knee and elbow pads from this set and upgraded to the EP55 (elbow pads) and KP22 (knee pads) from Triple 8 instead. Excellent protective padding set for a beginner skateboarder My wife and I purchased a skateboard for our small five year old son at Christmas and also decided to try this series of protective gear as well. This Triple 8 pack includes two knee pads, two elbow pads and two palm and wrist guards. The materials are mostly stitched nylon, plastic cups and velcro fasteners.
